Our Story
Owner Ashley Kost is a local Sayville mom of 2 small boys. Opening a store has been Ashley's dream since childhood and was the catalyst for getting her degree in business and entrepreneurship from The Fashion Institute of Technology. After graduating Ashley began her career in the antique jewelry world leading production and management for 8+ years. During that time Ashley and her husband opened many businesses including a Catskill Airbnb, wedding planning and coordinating, and Birdies, a golf simulator cocktail bar located in Patchogue.
When a store front opened up in her home town of Sayville it just felt right so she took the risk. Village is a general store for women with an emphasis on motherhood. It sells a unique selection of gifts, wellness products, vintage items, and things for moms and kids. Village also hosts a wide variety of workshops like, embroidery, candle making, floral arrangements, sourdough, painting, and jewelry making- to name a few.
